Magdalena Eriksson has announced her retirement from international football

Magdalena (also known as Magda) Eriksson announced her retirement from international football through instagram, in the video she states ‘im listening to my body and my mind, instead of my heart’ This is a decision that took her a while and she will ‘be the national team's biggest fan’ from now on. She has achieved a lot with the Swedish national team such as silver at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics and her last major tournament for Sweden would have been the 2025 Euros in Switzerland, which they got to the semi finals which ended in a defeat due to England winning the penalty shoutout. Eriksson has represented Sweden at loads of major tournaments and has even captained them. "To represent my country will be the one thing I'm absolutely most proud of when I look back on my career ’, Eriksson also said this in her announcement video, she has done so much for Sweden and thanked all of the players and supporters for her amazing time playing for Sweden.
