While we’re all eagerly awaiting the start of the 2026 Formula 1 season, the first round of pre-season testing has already taken place in Barcelona. Lando Norris won the Formula 1 World Championship on December 7th, 2025. This win was secured at the Yas Marina circuit during the final race of the 2025 season. This past season had Norris competing against teammate Oscar Piastri and four-time World Champion Max Verstappen. Hard work and talent paid off as Lando Norris was handed the World Championship trophy.

Before this injury crisis Barcelona squad was already smaller than most, having players leaving and only signing one player, Laia Aleixandri from Manchester City, but now they are missing six players. Barcelona failed to score in a Liga F match for the first time in nearly 6 years which led to them losing against Real Sociedad. This was their earliest Liga F defeat in 11 years.
