Manchester City have triggered the plus one option in Vivianne Miedema’s contract, keeping her at the club until 2027.

Miedema has been a pivotal part of the Manchester City squad, scoring eight goals so far to help City top the table on 42 points, eight points ahead of local rivals Manchester United. Let’s not forget about the assists as well, her five assists take her goal involvement to 13 this Women’s Super League campaign. Alongside Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, the duo has been hard to stop upfront for the Cityzens.

“There is no place I’d rather be right now than at City,” Miedema tells the club. “The steps weve made this season have been really goof and I am excited about what that will lead to.”

While Man City don’t currently have any fixtures until 15th March due to international break, Miedema can be seen in action against Poland on Tuesday 3rd March and against Republic of Ireland on Saturday 7th March.
