England U20 international, Ria Bose, has joined West Ham United from Sporting CP on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Bose’s career started out at the Brighton & Hove Academy in 2011 at just 6 years old, where she progressed through the Seagulls’ youth teams before joining Chelsea in 2019.
Despite signing for Chelsea in 2019, Bose only played for the under-20s from 2022 to 2024. In September of 2024, Sporting CP announced her arrival on a deal that would run until 2026.
Joining the Hammers, Bose becomes the second signing of the January window for new Head Coach, Rita Guarino, behind Estelle Cascarino.
Ria says: “I know that West Ham is going to help me progress as a player. This is a new beginning and the next step in my career.”
Bose’s international career also got off to a bright start as she’s represented the Lionesses from U16 through to U20, including being part of the 2024 U19 European Championships squad, featuring in all games until being knocked out in the semi-finals by Spain.
Rita Guarino says, “Ria has a lot of potential. She’s a dynamic full-back who can impact the game in defence and attack.”
