Lando Norris won the Formula 1 World Championship on December 7th, 2025. This win was secured at the Yas Marina circuit during the final race of the 2025 season. This past season had Norris competing against teammate Oscar Piastri and four-time World Champion Max Verstappen. Hard work and talent paid off as Lando Norris was handed the World Championship trophy.

Norris joined McLaren as a test driver in 2017 and made his F1 weekend debut at the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix. His first official race as an F1 driver was in 2019 at the Australian Grand Prix alongside teammate Carlos Sainz. He won his first podium in Austria during the first race of his second season.

Between a global pandemic and the addition and loss of two teammates, Lando Norris had a slow start to his F1 career. The 2024 season gave Mclaren the breakthrough they needed. Lando Norris won his first Grand Prix that season at the Miami Grand Prix.

Mclaren went onto win the 2024 Constructor’s Championship. The 2025 season bought a continuous victory for both McLaren and Lando Norris. Norris achieved a maiden win Monaco. Adding another win to his growing collection of top step podiums.

Silverstone was the next biggest achievement in the Lando Norris timeline. This race was THE race for Lando Norris, as he crossed the finish line in first place at his home race for the very first time.

After a retirement from Zandvoort and another handful of podiums the season reached its finale in Abu Dhabi. The fight for the Driver’s World Championship was a close call. When the checkered flag was waved Lando Norris had won his first World Championship with two points to spare.
