Bristol Rovers women are the only team left in the FA Women’s National League, Division One South West to have not conceded a goal this season.

Their current form has them sitting 2nd in the table on 10 points in four games, just behind Swindon Town who are on 12 points.

Current form:

Bristol Rovers 1-0 Ascot United

Bridgwater United 0-0 Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers 4-0 Bournemouth Sports

Worthing FC 0-9 Bristol Rovers

First choice goalkeeper, George Hunt, has been between the sticks for four league games and one cup game, keeping a clean sheet in all five.  As well as being an important name in the starting 11, Hunt also brings high levels of experience and leadership having been part of the squad for many seasons.

Following a major squad clear out, eight new players were brought in over the summer: Chloe Gilroy, Erin Bloomfield, Emily Arevalo, Ella Pemberton, Maisy Collis, Abbey Hateley, Ruby Scahill and Amelie Gould. With the new introductions and vital experiences they bring with them, it’s clear that manager Nathan Hallet is only looking at continuing to rise to the top.

After playing off back-to-back promotions, last season became a memorable one for the team for multiple reasons such as being fully affiliated with Bristol Rovers FC, playing majority of their home games at the Memorial Stadium and making it to the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup.

As its only the start of the season, it’s hard to predict how things will look by the end, but you can’t deny the Gas Girls have had anything but an encouraging start to the 2025/26 season.
