
Just when Barcelona thought they could share the points, this headline match between Barcelona and PSG ended in a 1-2 for the French side, thanks to a late goal in the stoppage-time.
There were sime noticeable absentees in this star battle: with Ballon d’Or winner Demebéle, Doué, Kvaratskhelia, captain Marquinhos and Raphinha all missing this Champions League match. Ballon d’Ors runner up Lamine Yamal, however was present.
It took him less than a minute to ignite fireworks at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys. Following Zinédine Zidane’example, the youngster broke free from the French defense with a dazzling dribble before delivering a perfect assist for Ferran Torres. Who unfortunately, was not able to finish this incredible action with a goal. Fifteen minutes later, Torres finally got his opener of the night after finishing off a clever, precise and nice assist form Marcus Rashford.

PSG refused to back down and started a well thought counterattack. Nuno mendes sprinted forward into Barcelona’s danger zone and delivered the ball to 19-year-old Portuguese Senny Mayulu who leveled the score.
In overall the match between these two top-quality teams went in every direction: Olmo had a massive chance, Lamine Yamal hunted for a goal. On the other side Hakimi and Barcola tried to put Barcelona’s defense under pressure.
However, PSG was more on point in the final minutes. The fans got everything out of this game, until the last minute when match of the match Achraf Hakimi set Gonçalo Ramos up, who finished the match with a 1-2 French victory.

With that this star battle ends with PSG taking home three precious points and a Barcelona coach Hansi Flick visibly frustrated.
The question now remains: will PSG extend their title and become their own runner up in the Champions league battle?
