Ballon d’Or 2025: Paris Saint-Germain win Men’s Club of the Year

PSG have obtained the Men’s Club of the Year award for 2025 after an extremely successful year. They won 4 trophies throughout the 2024/25 season: Ligue 1 Title, Coupe de France, French Super Cup and, most notably, the UEFA Champions League. The Champions League victory was the first in the Parisians history.

Many were concerned given that it was their first campaign without Kylian Mbappe since 2016/17, who left PSG to join Real Madrid. They certainly proved everyone wrong, with it being their best season in club history.

This becomes their second award at this year’s ceremony, with Luis Enrique picking up the Johan Cruyff Trophy, despite their 1-0 loss against Marseille tonight.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi shared his thoughts on the club receiving the award, saying, “Football is not easy. We have one of the best structures with young talented players, we have a lot of stars, some of them are here.” He then continued, “When you are a collective, you win.”

His speech highlighted the change in structure at PSG, and how it will work out for them in the long-term future. But, for now, it is certainly working in the present.
