
Academy graduate, Lenna Gunning-Williams has signed a new contract, running through to 2028.
Since making her senior debut in 2022, Lenna has become a regular in the senior matchday squad. This season, she has been part of 24/27 matchday squads, and has made 16 appearances across all competitions.
Lenna joined the Tottenham Hotspur academy at 16 years old and while playing for the Under-21’s, she scored 38 goals in 39 appearances.
Her senior debut came against Coventry United in the Women’s League Cup in November 2022, she also scored her first senior goal in this game. She then went on to sign her first professional contract with the club in July 2023, at just 18 years old. For the 2023/24 season, Lenna joined Ipswich Town on loan, where she scored 14 goals in 26 games, before heading back to Spurs with a higher level of senior experience.
On the international stage, Lenna was named in the Under-23 England team for the first time in October 2024, and made her debut in a 1-0 win over Portugal.
When asked about her contract extension Lenna said; “It has obviously been a hard season for everyone involved but, for me, just the personal gains, I have spent the whole season in the WSL, my first full campaign in the WSL, so I’m just excited to get going again.
She also commented on the support of her teammates: “They’ve always supported me from the moment I was training up as an Academy player to then being a professional with them, I feel they’ve always answered my questions or whatever I ask them, so I do have them to thank as well for this.”
