A feisty, rain-soaked clash between Manchester united and Chelsea ended in a 2-1 win for Manchester united.

It only took 5 minutes for a key moment to arrive. Chelsea’s goalkeeper Sanchez took a red card after making contact with Mbuemo. Coach Maresca didn’t hesitate and made a double change, bringing on goalkeeper Jörgensen and defender Adarabioyo. This dramatic start for the Blues resulted in 1- 0 after man of the match: Bruno Fernandes scored.

Chelsea’s luck didn’t turn as their golden boy Cole Palmer was forced off with an injury. A dramatic start even escalated in a “halftime to quicky forget” as Casemiro doubled the score in the 37th minute. The Brazilian then collected his second yellow card for pulling Santos’s shirt. Meaning that both teams would go into the break with 10 players on each end. Suddenly everything seemed possible again for the Blues.

A rain-soaked second half made football difficult. Fofana tried to get Chelsea back in the game with a header. Only for the goal to be chalked off for offside. However the breakthrough eventually game when Chalobah scored the 2-1 in the 80th minute. With only fifteen minutes to play, the Blues tried to give it their all.

But in a nervy ending for Manchester United it were still the Red devils who ultimately sealed the deal with a 2-1 victory. This might be the moral boost Manchester United desperately needed after a rocky start in the premier league.
