Goeiemorgen, bonjour and Guten tag! It’s time for the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix in the Hills of Spa-Francorchamps.

This iconic race has all the looks of an exciting race with a lot of corners, elevation changes and a Drivers Championship tighter than ever!

The formula one season continues in Belgium. Spa is a track favorite under many drivers. Current world champion Max Verstappen born and raised in Belgium and the son of a Belgian mother, which makes it sort of his home grand prix. The same can be said about Lando Norris with his Flemish mother Cisca.

A lot can be said about the track itself. Spa has been a prestigious race in the motorsport since the 1920s with the 24 hours of Spa standing as one of the main highlights on the motorsport calendar. Its the longest circuit on the calendar with 7 km straight through nature. It’s layout includes some of the most famous corners in motorsport: Eau Rouge and Raidillon; where the drivers first must decent before climbing the Belgian Hills. But this track also comes with another challenge: The unpredictable Belgian weather. In Belgium teams always must be prepared for an increased chance of wind and lots of rain.

As with many legendary circuits, the Belgian grand prix is also marked with some tragedies. The most recent accidents still raise goosebumps with everyone watching and experiencing this Grand prix. In 2019, during the formula 2 race, Antoine Hubert lost his life in a crash at the Raidillon with Juan-Manual Correa who could not respond as everything happened so quickly. It’s in the times of tragedy that humanity shows up, since the accident: the drivers have honored Antoine by running or cycling together in their race for Antoine.

In 2023, the cruel Belgian weather struck again when a similar incident happened. The rain caused limited vision and eighteen year old Dilano van t Hoff was hit by another car where all help came too late.

This year, we’re looking at an exciting race as the championship battle between the Mclaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris is tighter than ever, with only 8 points separating them. Let the Belgian Grand prix also be a track with lots of points to earn as there is a sprint race on Saturday at 12:00 (Belgian time). And then the race itself on Sunday at 15:00 (Belgian time).

Let’s sit back with a great old Belgian pint and let’s enjoy the Belgian Grand prix 2025. It’s all to race for.
