During the Netherlands opening game against France in the women’s Euros, Vivianne Miedema scored her 100th international goal. She is currently the only Dutch player, man or women, to score 100 international goals and did the iconic celebration (that went wrong) as seen in the picture.
Viv currently plays for Manchester City in the WSL and is the League's all-time top goalscorer which she achieved after playing in the league for just 3 years (at Arsenal). Viv has had an amazing career winning both individual and team awards such as the women’s Euros (2017), FIFA FIFPro Women's World XI (2020,2022), WSL (with Arsenal in the 2018/19 season) and many more.
Vivianne Miedema signed for her first club just aged 14 "So there I am, being offered my first professional contract to regularly play against 30-year-old women in the highest level of Dutch football. I was so young that my parents had to sign the contract for me!" she stated in an article for Arsenal. She has had a few battles she's had to face during a career such as ongoing injuries, but she also considered retiring from the game at just aged 18.
